It’s been a long time since I wrote something here. I’m willing to start again in order to improve my English skills. Since I've just gotten my first box of Tokyo Treat snacks, I was thrilling about all the cute envelopes and shiny names on it. I admit I've even smelled the box -Yes, I’m one of those people.
I was a bit hesitant about which snack I would chose to try first. I mean, I’ve tried other japanese snacks in the past. I’m completely familiar with Pocky and others, but this edition brought a lot of snacks I’ve never seen. To be honest, I only knew about the heart shaped Pocky.
However, I decided to be very adventurous and took the bag of Dontaco's Chili Tacos Flavored Chips. I must say I’m not a big fan of tacos but since I assumed they would be spicy I was excited -and I do love spicy food.
My 11 year-old cousin looked at me angry for making him try it first -Yeah, I should behave more like an adult, I know. His reaction was funny, I know it sounds mean, but it was very funny. He stepped back and said straightforward “This taste horrible, I don’t like it at all. I thought it was like Doritos!” I smiled at him with fear -I was the next in tasting it. As soon as I ate it I felt the strong tomato flavor on it, it was not spicy at all, it had just a very strong artificial flavor on it. I took a second and a third bite trying to find the spiciness but it was useless, it is just not spicy or I’m used to eat way more spicy that that.
My mom, who is always checking my diet, looked at me with reproval when she saw me putting such an unhealthy thing on my mouth. But once she tried and realized it wasn't delicious at all she was less worried about it -she thinks/hopes that all the snacks will be as awful as the taco thing.
My aunt and uncle did like it, though. I was amazed by seen them took more from the box and say the tomato flavor was good. I’m not a food critic, I’m just a picky person, but I didn't like it. Hopefully I'll be the only one and most of the subscribers will enjoy the snack. Without anything else to say, I’m out. Enjoy your Saturday, people.
